Have you discovered Pinterest yet? If you haven't, you are truly missing out on the one of the coolest places on the web. Pinterest is a collection of pictures pinned to virtual boards. Whether you find the picture on a blog, at retailer's site or take the picture with your phone, you're able to "pin" it to a board. Although the general layout and workings of Pinterest are not to difficult to grasp, there are many ins and outs and various circumstances to take into consideration. Where is the best place to learn about these? Kelby Carr, the founder and CEO of Type-A Parent, blogger and early adopter of Pinterest with thousands of followers and hundreds of boards, has written Pinterest for Dummies. Whether you are someone who has not yet signed up or a seasoned Pinterest pinner, this book has great information and tips for you to use. I have been on Pinterest for quite awhile and when I received the chance to review Pinterest for Dummies my immediate reaction was, how could there be that much information about Pinterest? I really thought I knew all there was to know. Boy was I wrong! Some of the things that helped me:
- Search tips
- Naming your boards/using descriptions
- Self promoting on Pinterest (an entire chapter packed with great information!)
- Companies using Pinterest effectively
- Power pinners to follow
