Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler - Review & Giveaway

Do your counters or sink always seem to have empty cans, glass jars or milk cartons waiting to be recycled or returned? Do you want an easy, neat and clean  way to organize your recyclables before garbage day? Rubbermaid has an ingenious answer - the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler. When I received mine, I realized I did not have a cupboard to hang it from. It doesn't come with the screws needed to hang it, but it does come with a template to position the screws in the proper position and can be successfully hung that way instead of with the included brackets. There really wasn't any cupboard space available either, so my next option was to hang it in the utility closet. After giving it some thought I decided it looked too nice to keep hidden and attached to the side of my cabinet.

 If I ever want to move it, all it will take is a little wood filler and paint to touch up the screw holes. No. big. deal. I think for something that holds up to 36 -  12 ounce cans,  can hold a gallon milk jug and is machine washable - it is quite beautiful and very functional.

Whether you need to take the bag to the garage to dump the recyclables into a bigger receptacle or need to take them to the site yourself, it has an easy to lift out handle that easily slides out for machine washing. The inside of the bag has a leak proof liner and the bag is soft sided for flexibility when used inside a cabinet. Not only can you recycle and look good doing it, you can feel good that the bag and all packaging is made from recyclable material and that the product is recyclable.

Just a side note - do you ever think of what you really want to say too late? (Me! lol) Anyway, yes the name says "hidden" but in my humble opinion it is nice enough to have out in the open. Just sayin' :)
